Now for a brief introduction:
Why Dancing-Turtle Knits you may ask? Honestly?TurtleKnits was already taken!
The dancing part is because hubby and I started taking ballroom dance lessons a year ago, and are training for an amateur competition.
Knits should be pretty self explanatory. I knit, obsessively. Along with knitting comes the obligatory stash and large book collection.
Turtle is a lot more personal. Two years ago, hubby and I went on a cruise. One of the destinations was Grand Cayman. While on Grand Cayman, we stopped at the Turtle Farm. I took one look at those turtles and I was in love. A little ironic considering hubby talked me into going to the farm. Before the end of the trip, hubby and I decided I HAD TO go back to school and work with these majestic creatures. Originally, I was not sure where I was headed with the “turtle thing” as hubby calls it. After doing research for an English paper I am headed full-throttle towards conservation. Being a 30-ish student is definetly a challenge, but I am driven by something even I don’t fully understand. Hubby says I have found my calling and that I am lucky: many people never find what they were meant to do. I believe him, so onwards into years of school I go.
This blog is meant as a place to chronicle my experiences with my three loves: dancing, sea turtles (or more correctly, my education), and knitting. Enjoy!
