My friend and HBIC of the notorious Denver Downtown SNB, Lindsey posted this on Ravelry. I thought it would be nice to post my answers here for those that don’t know me or those that already know and love me and consequently are dying to know more about me.

Four things about me that you may or may not have known, in no particular order.

A) Four jobs I have had in my life:   This is a little boring. I have held 3 jobs in my life, 2 of which are in the same field. I worked a Jack in the Box in Phoenix, and I have worked as a Respiratory Therapist since I was 19 at 2 local hospitals. I am going to college, so maybe one day I will total 4 jobs.

(B)Four movies I would watch over and over (or have watched over and over): Shawshank Redemption, Love Actually (makes me feel better when I am down on the world), Dirty Dancing (I know, I am a little ashamed, but it is the perfect sick day movie), Garden State

C) Four places I have lived: I’ll give the 4 most exciting ones: Connecticut (not too exciting except it is where I entered this world at), Scotland, Germany, and Hawaii. I’m going to include a 5th cause I’m a rebel: Colorado. It is where I live know and I think my life is pretty exciting.

D) Four TV Shows that I watch: Lost, Pushing Daisies, Criminal Minds, Medium

E) Four places I have been: England, Grand Cayman, New Orleans, and Germany

F) People who e-mail me (regularly): Knitting Daily, Yahoo Groups, Chemistry Instructor, Lenore.

G) Four of my favorite foods: Brownies, Meatloaf, Chinese, Japanese. Yeas, Chinese and Japanese qualify as a food to me; you didn’t expect me to narrow it down further did you?

H) Four places I would rather be right now… anywhere with an ocean, Italy, Croatia, sleeping

I) Four Things I am looking forward to this year 2008: finishing my Chemistry prerequisite, being that much closer to my degree, our ballroom competition, seeing what the next year has in store for me (good and bad)

No more pencils
No more books
No more teacher’s dirty looks

Yippee! No more school for a whole month! Now maybe I can catch up on some other things…. like friendships, this blog, and house work, a whole lotta house work. Oh, and knitting of course. Actually, I’ve managed to get a fair amount of knitting done, I really need to take pictures and post, oh and I need to get caught up on Ravelry .

Today is my first day with no studying to do. To celebrate my friend Lenore and I were going to drive to Brown Sheep in Nebraska, but the Denver weather had a different idea. Six inches of white fluffy-ness, six inches of reasons not to drive to Nebraska. Bummer!

So in lieu of yarn shopping, I had a big plan of cleaning, laundry and decorating for Christmas. Really not a bad plan for a snowy day. I have actually done a fair amount of cleaning. No decorating, yet. Laundry? There will be no laundry for me today, because I don’t feel like driving to the laundry mat. Yes, I need to go to the laundry mat because my fucking washer is leaking, at least I hope it’s my washer and not the water pipes. Fucking piece of shit! Honestly, we have had it for awhile and up until recently I have loved it. Now? Not so much so. What’s really frustrating is its a stack-able and the dryer quit working a few weeks ago. A hundred dollars and 2 weeks later, hubby essentially refurbished the dryer part. Now the washer is broke. Damn it! As much as I would like a new washer and dryer, I really would rather not spend the money on them. I can think of much better things to do with the money, like buy Christmas presents and yarn. Damn it! UGH!

Well, I’m off to decorate, that should cheer me up. If that doesn’t work then all I have left to do is knit!

Oh I almost forgot…….

the other day I was procrastinating homework (we’ve had this discussion, remember?) and came across the show on VH-1 (?) called America’s Most Smartest Model. Have you seen this? Funny and scary all at once. The models compete in 2 areas: 1. how beautiful they are and 2. how smart they are. The episode I watched had a brain competition in which the model had to eat Twinkies if they answered incorrectly. First of all, they were mortified at the idea of eating junk food. Yeah, reason one why I am not a model, I would get answers wrong on purpose! While most of the models were actually fairly intelligent (one knew the particles of an atom- if I wasn’t taking Chem. that would have stumped me), the other models were, well, not so bright. A few questions and answers:

Q: Who wrote the Star Spangled Banner?

A: Luther Vandross

Q: What language is spoken in Australia?

A: Australian

Q: Who shot JFK?

A: Brad

refer to this as needed to make yourself feel a little (lot) smarter.

Does anyone else watch Pushing Daisies? If not, why not! This is my favorite new show. For the tragically uniformed, a brief synopsis. The Pie-Maker has the power to revive the living, but only for a minute or else something else dies. A detective finds out about his “talent” and they go about solving murders for the rewards. It has a voice-over story teller and super bright colors- very Edward Scissorhand-ish. Anyway, the a forementioned male detective is an avid knitter. In the last epsiode, the pie-maker and the detective were discussing the moral implications of collecting multiple rewards for one death. Pie-maker- against. Detective-for. Detectives reason? “I need more yarn” – Amen.

Wow, I can’t believe how long it has been since I posted! Contrary to rumors, I am alive and well and have not given up on my blog. A few weeks ago I caught nasty flu bug and was down for 10 days! I mean really sick……..too sick to stay awake sick………too sick to eat sick………too fucking sick to knit sick! Now that’s sick! Once I recovered, I had a ton of school work to do and a huge test in Chem, followed by a busy birthday week, and…… you get the idea. I think I am finally caught up. Well, as caught up as I will ever be!

I have tons (a few at least) of things to “talk” about and pictures as well. Sadly, no time at the moment to post them; I need to get ready for dance class. I wanted to post a quick little diddy to let everyone know I have not deserted this venture. Will study, will dance, will knit, and will blog; although not necessarily in that order.

Josh and an original bike, originally uploaded by turtlelover71.

The owner of Oyler Custom Cycles, our friend Josh, living the dream…. and pointing at his goodies… gotta love him. I love this big, very orange bike.

OCC’s first bike, originally uploaded by turtlelover71.

Today was the first anniversary party for our friend Josh’s custom bike shop: Oyler Custom Cycles. It was also the first time I have seen any of their bikes. Fucking amazing! The bike on the left (w/flames) is the first bike Josh and Chris built. Josh is keeping it for himself. The bike on the right is the one they are trying to talk hubby into buying. If it wasn’t for tuition…
